Hello VALOR Fam!

Good Afternoon, gamers! Who’s ready for BLIZZCON 2023?! In this newsletter, we’ll be touching on when and where the events are happening, how you can watch from home, and some safety tips for the convention if you’re going in person!

BlizzCon is taking place in Anaheim, California! It is on the 3rd and 4th of November, doors open at 10:00 AM PST and the Opening Ceremony starts at 11:00 PST! Blizzard has stated that they will be streaming the event on their YouTube page and Twitch channel. For our streamers in the community, Blizzard has also welcomed co-streaming, if that’s something you would like to share with your viewers!
The schedule for the event, both in person and live, is as follows:

November 3

  • 11AM – Opening Ceremony
  • 1:30PM – World of Warcraft: What’s Next
  • 2:30PM – Overwatch 2: Deep Dive
  • 3:30PM – World of Warcraft Classic: What’s Next
  • 4:30PM – Hearthstone: What’s Next
  • 5:30PM – Warcraft Rumblings

For those of you who are attending this year’s convention in PERSON, here are a few safety tips for big ‘ole conventions like this! Ashenis posted a great article on the Blizzard Forum, as a veteran BlizzCon attendee, of things to remember, things to bring, FOOD locations and places is the surrounding area that you may find helpful, as well as a great breakdown of DISNEYLAND for those of you who are hitting the nearby theme park while in town for the convention! You can find a link for the entire post HERE. A few of my favorite tips that I read are
1. A small backpack is always good to have. We’ll be getting one of these this year at badge pickup, but not sure what the quality will be like yet.
2. Something to do. Be it games on your phone, or even your Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck, you’ll want to pass the time before you finally enter the hall.
3. Have a small first aid kit. Just a small box of bandages (bandaids), as well as some kind of pain reliever and allergy medicine if needed.
4. A small trash bag. Keep a small trash bag in your luggage. You can probably use this for a number of things, trash, emergency poncho… a kite?
The whole forum post is spectacular and full of VERY valuable information! I’d suggest giving it a read!
Remember that while we attending the convention, whether virtual or in person, that we are representatives of VALOR, so we much conduct ourselves with that in our mind. That means that all rules that apply to us as a community, apply in person as well.

Warcraft Roadmap and upcoming patch.

Who is MuewNT??

Heya! My name’s MuewNT (it is pronounced MEW – NT). I have 2 beautiful dogs (Samoyeds) and 1 rat (toy poodle) and a partner that I’ve been with for about two and a half years and I love them all very much. I’ve been playing video games since I was a toddler trying to find a Runescape gf in Varrock square. I’ve competed in several games over the years: Call of Duty 4, Counter Strike, Valorant, Battalion 1944 and a few other small FPS games. That said I’ve still sunk several thousands of hours into World of Warcraft. I recently took upon the mantle of the VALOR Blue Raid Leader and hopefully can lead them to their goal of CE.
