Community Spotlight: Blitzzwig
Meet Blitzzwig:
Hello, VALOR community! I’m Blitzzwig, also known as John. I was born in the frosty winter of 1993 in Wisconsin, raised amidst the charm of North Carolina, and now call the rolling hills of southern Illinois my home. I share my life with a loving spouse and a lively pack of five dogs: an 18-year-old Papillon, a 5-year-old male Siberian Husky, a 6-year-old Black Lab, and two adorable puppies from the Husky and Lab. My love for football began in middle school and flourished through high school, instilling in me the values of teamwork, perseverance, and the thrill of competition. These early experiences laid the groundwork for my later adventures in the gaming world.
My journey into gaming started in 2004 when my father and I began playing World of Warcraft together. The vast, immersive world of Azeroth became our playground, and my steadfast Hunter character has been my constant companion through countless adventures. Over the years, I have explored numerous servers, each offering new challenges and friendships, but my love for the Hunter class has remained unchanged.
The journey took an exciting turn when I joined the VALOR community, drawn in by a Community WoW night hosted by Butdidyoudie32. The connections I’ve forged through WoW, Overwatch 2, and Discord Minigame nights have been invaluable. I am now a fledgling member of the Mythic+ Team Phoenix, aspiring to achieve the prestigious A Head of the Curve achievement and revel like rockstars at BlizzCon.
Beyond World of Warcraft, my gaming interests expanded to include a deep passion for role-playing games (RPGs). I am currently engrossed in three Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, each featuring unique characters and play styles. My gaming repertoire also includes sports and racing games, with occasional ventures into shooters. Driven by a relentless desire to excel, I strive to be the best gamer I can be, no matter the game, finding immense fulfillment in the dedication and perseverance that gaming demands.
While gaming is a significant part of my life, I also cherish moments spent with family, pets, and other hobbies. I find joy in watching “Boondock Saints,” my all-time favorite movie, and listening to the electrifying tunes of Avenged Sevenfold, my favorite band. Each day is a new adventure, blending the joys of family life, the thrill of gaming, and the warmth of cherished relationships.
As I reflection my journey, I am grateful for the experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. From the football fields of my youth to the virtual realms of gaming, each chapter of my life has been a unique adventure. Looking ahead, I am excited to continue growing, learning, and achieving new milestones, both in gaming and in life. My story is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and the joy of shared experiences.
Blitzz is a wonderful addition to our team. He is a great player, and always willing to adapt for the teams needs, which we all have appreciated so much. He is also fun to game with because he is funny and lighthearted and his jokes always make everyone laugh.
