Hi, everyone! I’m Spechul K! (pronounced speh-shl-kay)
You can call me Spechul, or Kay, or by my given name, Rae. I answer to it all.  I’m at my favorite number right now, a good ole’ 33 years old. A long time ago, I graduated high school, moved to China, then to several U.S. states and lastly, France.

I joined the Navy when I was 27 and did a good 4-year stint as an aircraft mechanic working on F-18s. After all that, I moved back home to Oklahoma where I currently live and I’m going to school to pursue a career in the medical field. All over the place, for sure, but I’m someone with a lot of interests and I believe strongly that you should pursue what your heart desires. Wherever it takes you.

Growing up, I played on PlayStation with my dad, playing Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy. I only started playing games again as an adult and very bravely started playing multiplayer FPS with the release of Black Ops 3. I say bravely, because the toxicity to a newcomer, especially a female newcomer, was astonishingly high. I played mostly by myself and didn’t find an online community until The Division came out. Boy, did I love that game. After joining the Navy, I had many deployments and stuck to playing Skyrim on my Xbox when I had time after 12-hour shifts. Throughout that time though, Apex Legends came out and any time I was on land, I was grinding the game. I started streaming my last year in the Navy, knowing that I didn’t have any other deployments.

Now, your girl is competing in women’s competitive Apex Legends and is a newly appointed content creator for VALOR! The gaming world is vast, and I love that I get to be a part of it.

Most recently, I applied and was accepted to the VALOR Stream Team. Even without WoW experience, VALOR has welcomed me from the start since joining last September. Even before I applied to the stream team, I had support for my Apex Legends tournaments and streams. This community is a diamond in the rough and it shows constantly. I’m very proud to represent VALOR as I compete in tournaments and play all the variety of games on stream.

As I grow within the VALOR community, I hope to help bring in more Apex loving gamers *wink wink* and, maybe finally learn how to play WoW and kick some butt, i.e. butdidyoudie32’s butt. He’s my boyfriend, after all.

Whenever I’m not gaming, I do indeed touch grass. There is quite a bit of hiking around the area, and I love running. The normal gamer girl pastimes of reading and watching anime are regular hobbies of mine. I also have a zoo of fur babies – a Great Dane named Atlas, a lab/pit mix named Anakin, a Pitbull named Charmy; and two cats, Minerva and Bellatrix. I spend a lot of time outdoors with the dogs and taking in that fresh air is essential for my mental health. Mental health is also very important to me, so if you ever find yourself needing a friend, don’t hesitate to reach out. We can play a game and hangout in Discord to get the vibes high again.

Much love, Spechul K

After throwing Rae into VALOR, I think she has also found her own place in the community to call it her forever home. I’m glad that she can thrive in her own space within the community and I’m excited of the future for both of us!
