Meet: Treesus
Eh hope today finds everybody well!
My name is Corbin, and I am from British Columbia, Canada. Known throughout the gaming community as a man of many different names. To simplify, you can call me Tanker/Treesus, or by any of my character names in WoW. I am the healer for VALOR Team Ghost.
Join me as we dive into how I got associated with VALOR, and how that’s impacted my drive to start streaming. I would like to thank VALOR for giving me this opportunity to express myself.
I am 28 years young! (Oct.31st). Been in the Trades as a Plumber coming up on 10 years now (Journeyman for 2 years). I currently reside in the central Okanagan of beautiful British Columbia for going on 13 years now.
I am the proud owner of a very special English yellow lab Named Murphy.
This big headed fella is my everything.
Come on how could you say NO to him!!!
I also just recently adopted a beautiful Belgian Malinois named Chase.
I live with my better half for 4 years now and going strong 💪.
I play the role of Step Dad to a beautiful 5 year old girl, certified cutie patootie, Payton.
I was born a Halloween baby (yes, on Halloween night) and weighed in at 6.66 pounds upon birth (true story!). Grew up as a daredevil 😈and mom called me Evel Knievel. Evidently, this caused me to wind up in the hospital a few too many times 😅.
It wasn’t till 5 years ago that my life took a drastic change.
Growing up I started skiing @ 3 years old. I practice many years doing freestyle skiing, and I was ready to enter national competitions. Practicing for a big air competition, I ended up overshooting a 45 foot long Big Air Jump at my local ski hill while being inverted, and cannon balled onto my back on ice. The trick I was going for was called a double cork 1080.
Needless to say I broke my thoracic 4 vertebrae and I enjoy downhill skiing now 🤣
(I’m still gonna be the cool dad who throws out a backflip though!) Not even 24 hours after breaking my spine I sat in a classroom with a pillow taped to my chair and a cane for 8 hours a day 5 days a week .
I have always been dedicated to what I do, and no matter how hard life hits you in the b***s you get back up and try again. 💯
Building my very first PC, was a task and a half in itself. Being covid times, I paid a premium for just about every part on my PC, but it had to happen! I get carried away once I’m committed, what can I say.
My Brother Marcus, who’s 4 years older than me, helped me build this massive PC with 13 fans in it BTW (dual mounted radiator). ever since swapping from a ROG Laptop (960m GPU) to a $6700 custom build.
Let’s just say im very happy that my girlfriend loves video gaming as well. Game changer.
I came across VALOR through an old friend who was once the leader of VALOR Ghost (Butdidyoudie). Scrolling twitch I stumbled upon his familiar name and after chatting for a while I knew exactly that VALOR was the place for me. the community welcomed me with open arms. I joined VALOR mid season 3 of Dragon Flight. Being a beginner when it comes to streaming, the VALOR community helped me set up my very own stream through one of their awesome workshops! (Thanks Jette!) From there I was able to ensure a smooth running stream!
You can check out my stream anytime on twitch: https://twitch.tv/lifewithcorbs
I started playing WoW early BFA. I’ve been playing consistently through Shadowlands into Dragonflight mainly doing M+ as a primary focus, and raiding/PvP on the side. I fell in love with restoration druid season 3 Dragonflight as I was able to end season 3 with a personal best record of 3456 io. Before that my PBR was tanking on my warrior of 2700 io. I set a goal for myself for season 3 of 3.2k io initially and well surpassed it. I was looking for a team to join as the content I was doing was no longer available for PUGs, or I just could not get into keys. (hah story of my life) That’s where my VALOR journey began!
I also play a wide variety of other games such as: Rocket league, Overwatch, BG3, For Honor, and many more!
Although gaming takes up a good portion of my spare time, I do love to get outside believe it or not, weather its shooting puck at the ODR, to camping, fishing, more fishing, I’m lowkey obsessed with fishing, to kickin’ back at the beach setting up the slackline and crafting a rope swing for my step-daughter using my longboard and some old rope from the garage.
I am a very creative mind, and pick things up extremely quick. I learned how to draw in 7 months.
Got very into pencil sketching, then kinda just onto the next hobby. I’ve been playing piano for several years now. My absolute favorite thing to do in the summer time is riding my unicycle downtown while solving a Rubik’s cube in one hand and playing with a Japanese toy called the Kendama in the other. I would ride around on route from piano to piano in the park to play. A cool little local thing my city does every summer
… AND I can be quite the designer!
My Halloween costume that I built from scratch!
When TWW dropped it was full bore, immediately started gearing and helping my teammates gear for the best chance to compete with the guild and others on a competitive level. I really enjoy being apart of this amazing community and working as a team to adapt and overcome obstacles. This season will be a push for title (Top 0.1% in Mythic Plus), I LOOOOOOVVVEEE the grind, and pushing myself beyond my own limits. I’d like to thank my team for helping me branch out and learn new classes that would ultimately help us achieve this huge goal of ours!
I love to meet new people, so if you have any questions about a video game, or just looking for a little chat, please hit me up! It would be my pleasure.
Till next time friends! Staaayyy juicy! And don’t be a stranger!
I’ve known Treesus for a few years now and besides him just being one of the best healers I’ve met in game, he is also an awesome guy in and out of game! Despite most people thinking he is very serious 100% of the time, it’s the exact opposite when doing content with him, he is super funny, and one of the most laidback and caring person you will meet.
