Community Spotlight: Arixdil
Get to know the VALOR Community! Today we get to know Arix!
Hey all! My name is Arixdil (I generally just go by Arix, or my actual name), Aridactyl or as I am called in other circles, the Kait of Babylon (blame Puffin lol). Welcome to my Community Spotlight and thank you for swinging by to learn a little more about me! I am known for plunging my sword into the bowels of those who irk me, and throwing hammers. In real life, my name is Kait, I live in Northern Alberta with my husband, Mark, and our four cats. I’ve been playing World of Warcraft since OG Classic (2005!), and I suppose you can call me a lifer? I came to VALOR after being introduced it the guild through friends (shoutout to Puffin, Cely, Milk, Deeva, Ty, and Brad!), and after much thought and some humming and hawwing, I transferred mid-September and joined VALOR.
I main a Ret Paladin, which has been my main since Classic. Arix started life as a human paladin, and was faction swapped the minute I was able to. Pre-WoW, I played Everquest, maining a high elf enchanter, and participating in several world/server firsts in Norrath. Recently, I’ve started streaming my Warcraft exploits on Twitch under the name ArixdilStreams. Until a couple weeks ago, streaming wasn’t really anything I had given any real thought to, but I’ve decided to try and give it a go and see how it is. I’ve started planning a few upgrades for my setup, with a proper mic, mixer, and camera (hopefully) coming down the pipe sometime soonish.
My plans for season 3 are to hit AotC with Team Silver, KSM/H with Team Rainbow Unicorns, and Rival in RBGS with Team Blood Red. I’m also down for doing most and just about anything. At the end of the day, my plans are to have fun with my friends, and enjoy my time with them doing everything. This game has brought me many great friends that I cherish and love dearly!
In conclusion, thank you all for taking time to learn a little more about me and to read my biography, hopefully it’s not too all over the place (haha). A major thanks to the VALOR leaders for choosing me for the opportunity, I’m very honored to have been thought of. One of my favorite parts of the community is watching people come in and branch out. Interacting in the community, starting to stream, asking questions and providing feedback. Arix has been an amazing supporter of the community both in game and in discord since joining. Always active, Always positive and sharing the best cat pics with us! I look forward to watching Arix’s stream grow and continue to be a crucial member of the VALOR community. – prawfeT
