Community Spotlight: Forcesaken
Hello all and welcome to VALOR. I am Forcesaken. Join me as I go bit bit down memory lane as a destruction warlock and how I became a member of VALOR.
So my WoW journey began back in 2006. I was in bootcamp and the other recruits that were playing it were talking about it. I had never heard of WoW but I was intrigued by their conversations. One of them mained a warlock and I became very interested in the class by the way he described it. So one of the first things I did after I graduated was bought a laptop, installed WoW and I was hooked and fell in love with the destruction spec. From there I played for a good majority of the next 8 years solely as a destruction warlock.
I initially got really into PvP starting out on the PvP server Archimonde but then discovered the joys of raiding and pushing end game content. During that time I achieved a lot but the feat I was most proud of was achieving world #3 in damage as a destro lock on the General Nazgrim fight during the MoP expansion. Soon afterwards I had to step away from WoW due to life and never thought I would play again. Well last year I had a co-worker finally convince me to come back and when I did I just dove in head first, achieving rank 1 destro lock on the Dalaran server for mythic plus with a 3144 rating and it was the first season I had really ran keys. I’m currently the #2 destro lock on Thrall with a rating of 3300 and continuing to push.
I’ve been back for about a year now so during that time while pushing keys I had the itch to also push for CE, something I was never able to achieve before. And that led me to VALOR where we have the same goal in mind. I wanted to be with a guild where we could push and earn it together, not just be carried through it. VALOR seemed like the perfect home for me with their large community and events that are always being ran together, I felt right at home.
So I look forward to continuing to push with the guild as we achieve greater and greater things. For me always I’m always looking to improve and to help others who also enjoy the spec or even if they’re just interested in trying it out for the first time. VALOR continues to help push me further and further as I continue to strive to be one of the best destruction warlocks I can be while also growing together as a team, making many new friends along the way.
