Meet: Tensynn

Hello VALOR!

I’m Tensynn (Tennsyn, Tensyn—I go by a lot of variations), and along with Tylia, I’m one of your newest Raid Leaders and Co-GM of VALOR II.

I’ve been raid leading in WoW for one season now, and I’ve been raiding consistently—and at a higher-than-average intensity—for close to 10 years across the lifespan of Destiny and Destiny 2. I’ve been around WoW since I was about 6 or 7 and started playing when I was around 10, if memory serves. My earliest experiences in WoW were spent learning to PvP—either through hands-on experience or by watching PvP montages on early YouTube during every spare moment.

Other games I love include The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Nier Gestalt, Warframe, Destiny, the entirety of the Soulsborne games, and Elden Ring. Honestly, I could go on for hours about games I’ve loved over the years.

I first got involved with VALOR a couple of months ago—and, truthfully, it only happened because of a lucky connection. As Destiny 2 began to decline after the release of The Final Shape, and with The War Within on the horizon, I asked Tylia if he was planning to play. I knew he had experience raiding at a CE level and figured the best way to pay forward what I’d gained from Destiny was to start our own guild—giving players a shot despite all the gatekeeping and toxicity that can exist in WoW. And so, our guild Falsify was born.

During our first season, we achieved AotC as a guild and raid team under the name 1 More Wipe. However, any attempt to push into Mythic became a constant uphill battle against the most fearsome boss WoW has ever created: Roster Boss. We spent the rest of the season searching for solutions to our roster issues.

That search led us to VALOR.

I’ve got an open-door policy, I’m a pretty open book, and I love a good conversation.

Tylia and Des were already friends, and through them, I made my connection. I was introduced to the executive team and the rest of the leadership. Pretty quickly, we realized how aligned our goals and aspirations were—and how we could each solve a problem the other was facing. After a few weeks of back-and-forth, getting to know each other, and seeing what everyone was about, we all collectively agreed that the most logical move was to become one entity.

And that brings us to today.

Honestly, I could say a lot more—I could probably talk for hours about how I got here and all the little details. But if you want to get to know me, just ask. I’ve got an open-door policy, I’m a pretty open book, and I love a good conversation.

The easiest ways to get me to not shut up? Talk to me about any of the games I mentioned, music, D&D, storytelling, plants, history, or game design.

I’m looking forward to gaming with all of you—and building a long and successful friendship, too.

Sincerely,
Tensynn

I met Tenn IRL years ago and we got along quite well, then we started gaming together and we had a lot of fun from there, we mostly started out doing PVP until Tenn decided we should build a guild & a raid team. Tenn Is a amazing person to help teach you a raid, he has helped both Pugs and guildies obtain AOTC in Season 1 and is on track to do it again in the current season. As a Raid Leader he excels at simplifying the fights for others and pushing players to improve & adapt to the situations presented to them, overall I’m excited to continue working with him on a much larger scale and seeing what we can do in the future.
